The Ballena Bay Yacht Club in Alameda is hosting it’s annual Poker Run on Saturday, July 14th. The event is to encourage folks and sailors to visit the six yacht clubs on Alameda ( Close your eyes and name them.) Cruise/walk/run/drive to at least five of the and pick up a card – best 5 card hand wins using a maximum of 7 cards.

The entry “ante” is $30. Registration starts Friday the 13th and continues through noon on Saturday the 14th. It’s party time after the payouts (up to $400 in past years) – $25 for a steak, $10 cover for the band. Having done this a few years ago I can tell you it’s nothing but fun.
